3 August 2010 - D'Main Authority - Beyond pacing & leading? with Haider Imam

Perhaps you, like me, have quoted 'pace then lead!' to other people almost like a mantra, when training them to get greater results?

But how many of us can, hand on heart, get people and groups to lean forward exactly as we lean forward? Blink as we blink? Breathe at the rate we breathe? In other words, it's not a skill that everybody can do, effortlessly, yet...

That potentially means that  one of the cornerstones of your work as a coach, therapist or influencer is broken. Meaning lost
time, status, credibility, money and results. Or worse...

In this must-attend workshop (responsible for over half a million in extra sales for well-known clients), NLP Trainer, Influence coach and
Training consultant, Haider 'Hedda' Imam will introduce you to a model that goes beyond traditional pacing & leading, using only words and ideas.

Synthesised from NLP, Pick Up Artist techniques and Social Psychology, learning D'Main Authority will give you authority over
the domain of the individual or group you're facing. Meaning 'results squared'.

Haider Imam
was UK Sales Trainer if the Year 2007. He is the Founder of So in Flow, an NLP Master Practitioner & Trainer. His area of expertise is 'Influence' - getting what you want while creating value for others.

He is the author of '47 Moments of Inspiration' (one for each working week of the year).

1 June 2010 - Trains of Thought with Bev Holden and Kate Hargreaves

“Many highly intelligent people are bad thinkers. Intelligence is like the horsepower of a car. A powerful car has the potential to drive at speed, but you can have a powerful car and drive it badly. Thinking is the driving skill with which each individual drives his or her intelligence.” - Edward De Bono

In the hurly burly of everyday life one of our biggest challenges can be finding the time and the space to think clearly. If thinking time is so scarce then it’s all the more important to get every ounce of value out of the thinking time that we do have available to us. Trains of Thought will show you how to create the perfect “thinking space” anytime and anywhere, blocking out distractions and encouraging quality of thinking and clarity of thought in very practical ways.

Kate Hargreaves and Bev Holden are the Clear Thinking Partnership. They’ve been a successful partnership for many years both in the corporate environment and more recently in their own business venture. Their practical experience in the retail and service sectors, leading a wide range of teams to achieve great results, combined with their technical expertise in people development has equipped them to help others to develop their people for success. Changing the way people think is at the heart of Bev & Kate’s work with organisations, teams and individuals.

4 May 2010 - NLP, the Millionaire Mindset and YOU... with Gary Plunkett

You’ve probably heard that the rich think differently, right? But they only have 24 hours in a day, so how is it that just ‘thinking’ differently can make so much of a difference to their results?
Well if that thinking leads to action, every hour of every day of every week of every month of every year then that difference gets applied a thousand-fold or more, so just fully consider right now what fantastic results would you want to happen in your life, if you were able to choose before or during this powerful NLP evening?

10 years ago I was just like you, busy 60-80 hours per week working for others and making money for them. No time for me, no time for partners, relationships, family, no time to relax, and my health failing with asthma and allergies. Then I discovered NLP and I realised, yes, I was climbing the corporate ladder, but that ladder was up against the wrong wall! I realised I had to find a better way...and I did!

Now I work when I want to. I have holidays when I want to, I spend time on my hobbies when I want to. Sometimes I will have a week off, and sometimes I will choose a 60-80 week living my dream and working my passion for helping people to fulfil their full potential and maximise their chances of success.

What I mostly specialise in these days is helping open-minded managers and owners to grow their businesses fast, typically to double or treble businesses in 2-3 years or less, from one-man-bands to Multi-Millionaires, to live their dreams and spend time doing what they want, when they want.

I’ve worked with managers and owners to go from £5k income per month to £10k per month in around 2 weeks, and a bigger firm grow from £1m to £3m in just two years. Now whether you run your own show yet or you just want to succeed faster I will be giving away to you many, many ideas this evening, allowing you to choose what step by step approach you will take to build the life that you want?

And what I’ve noticed is the number One quality for success is just...an open mind. Do you Really have an open mind or do you just pretend you do? Are you really a sceptic or do you disbelieve everything until you have 100% concrete evidence, in which case I’m guessing it’s not easy to move forward for you?

Tonight you will learn what NLP techniques I use and when I use them, but more importantly you will learn how to change your own mindset and results. You will learn about risk-reward and upside-downside thinking. If you choose to join in then you will achieve change and take steps to move forward, if you dissociate and merely watch, you will gain only information, and as Robert Dilts said, ‘knowledge is only a rumour until it is in the muscle’.

So the maximum downside is you have to get yourself to Manchester City Centre to meet like-minded people and have a great evening. The maximum upside is.....up to your imagination...how big can you dream?

Gary Plunkett is a Fast Business Growth expert, Professional Speaker and Business Coach. He is a
Certified Trainer of NLP, Full Member of the Professional Speakers Association, and is APMP and Prince2 qualified.
Gary is also a Certified Trainer of Hawaiian Huna Higher Consciousness and Celtic Shamanism.

13 April 2010 - Build Your Strengths-Based Strategic Plan in Just 2 Hours! with Andy Smith

It's a commonplace in business and personal development circles that "failing to plan is planning to fail". We all know that if we don't develop our strategy for the future, we are at the mercy of events and outside forces. But do you actually put this belief into practice?

Have you put off developing a strategic plan for your life or your business because you're too busy? Or perhaps (you may admit to yourself, if no-one else) because it's too scary? A lot of people do.

In large organisations it can be even worse. Has planning in your organisation become a ritual in which people go through the motions but never really engage with it? Is the end product a 'strategic plan' several hundred pages long that no-one actually reads?

In this session, Andy Smith will guide you through the SOAR model (Strengths, Opportunities, Aspirations, Results). This is a more engaging alternative to the traditional SWOT model (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats).  SOAR avoids the dangers of 'analysis paralysis' and demoralisation - instead it promotes engagement, buy-in and energy.

By the end of the evening, if you choose, you will have created a high-level strategic plan for yourself, your team, or your business. This could be your most valuable investment of two hours ever!

So - be prepared to do some serious work and get some serious benefits! Remember there is a 20% discount when you book 5 places, so why not bring your whole team?

Andy Smith is an Appreciative Inquiry facilitator, NLP trainer, and organiser of the Manchester Business NLP and Emotional Intelligence Group.

1 December - The End of More? with Aboodi Shabi

It’s not hard to see that we are facing great uncertainty in the world today – economic crises, environmental concerns, social and political challenges, all of which require our attention.

In this provocative conversation, transformational coach and speaker, Aboodi Shabi will be exploring the idea that we need to face the end of more – the paradigm we have been living in for the last 500 years that more is always good, and always achievable. Rather than merely focussing on more of the same, maybe it’s time to explore a future with less, and how to meet that possible future with ambition and peace rather than fear and scarcity.

Join us if you are a coach working with others and discover an entirely different kind of coaching conversation; business leaders will also find plenty in this evening to provoke and stimulate your thinking about new ways to move forward in the current climate.

Aboodi Shabi is one of the UK's most senior coaches, and a pioneer and leader in the UK and European Coaching community.

He has worked in the field of personal development for over twenty years, and in coaching since 1996. In that time, he has worked with hundreds of coaches across the world.

Aboodi runs, and teaches in, workshops and seminars for coaches across Europe and North America, as well as working with leaders, and presenting on leadership issues and presence across Europe.

He is currently European Director of Coaching and Training for Newfield Network. He is also an invited facilitator on mastery in coaching for various European coaching schools, as well as being a regular speaker on the coaching conference circuit across Europe.

Testimonials:

“Aboodi is a  man forged by the collision of different cultural worlds, in such a way that he can speak from compassion and firmness so as to greatly serve others.” - Julio Olalla – Master Coach and founder of Newfield Network.

"You are very knowledgeable about coaching in my opinion and you express your knowledge with clarity and humility. You are great at holding the attention of your audience too. That seems a lot like emotional intelligence, the bedrock on which all good coaches must stand." - Sir John Whitmore – author of “Coaching for Performance”

  • The key characteristics of a strong personal brand
  • What specific strengths, qualities and talents contribute to your own personal brand

Making Better Decisions with NLP with Andy Smith - October 2009

How good are your decisions? Society presents us with an ever-increasing array of choices that would have made our ancestors' heads spin - who to date, whether to take that job, which car to buy, should I set up in business on my own...?

Are you consistently surprised and delighted by how well your decisions turn out, or do you sometimes end up disappointed (and maybe thousands of pounds out of pocket) because you missed something? NLP can help!

If you are NLP trained, you probably know already about the importance of clarifying your values and checking the 'ecology' of your decisions - so the material in this evening's session will be going beyond the obvious.

Come to this evening workshop and try out some strategies for making better decisions:

  • The most important pattern for making consistently good decisions
  • How to get beyond 'decision trances' that filter out important information
  • The dangers of 'groupthink', and how to avoid it
  • How to involve your unconscious mind for emotionally intelligent decision-making

This evening really could change your life!

Andy Smith is an emotional intelligence coach, ANLP-accredited NLP trainer and author of Achieve Your Goals: Strategies To Transform Your Life (Dorling Kindersley 2006). He is the organiser of the Manchester Business NLP and Emotional Intelligence Group.

DISC (dominance, influence, steadiness and compliance) is the world's most widely used work-based inventory offered by a number of different companies (eg Thomas PPA, Discus, Insights, etc.). DISC is a useful tool in NLP and emotional intelligence as it can be used to educate people in self awareness and effective communication in order to change patterns of mental and emotional behaviour.
